Yes, they help those that need financial aid obtain it, but, they will also have a list of preferred banks and financial institutions they would like you to use for a private student loan. However, it is very important for you to remember you do not have to use anyone on that list. If you can use whom every you chose as long as they are willing to pride a private student loan for you.

Once you have decided who you will obtain that private student loan from. Get your paperwork together. This is a loan and you will need to provide much information. You may even need to obtain a co-signer if you have not established much credit at this point. This will only help you to continue to establish credit. You do need to realize you can affect that co-signers credit in a negative way if you are not meeting your obligations.
